中国科学院半导体材料科学重点实验室是1990年9月15日经中国科学院批准,1991年3月正式向国内外开放的院级重点实验室。首任实验室主任为王占国院士,首任实验室学术委员会主任为林兰英院士。现任室主任为王智杰研究员,现任学术委员会主任为刘明院士。
实验室面向国家重大需求,围绕国际半导体材料科学前沿和要解决的关键科学与技术问题,开展半导体材料与器件应用基础性研究,主攻方向是半导体功能材料与集成。经过多年的发展与自适应调整,形成了三个特色优势研究方向:(1)低维半导体光电子材料、器件与集成;(2)高温及高迁移率微电子材料与器件;(3)单晶衬底及特殊环境半导体材料。
根据国际半导体材料与器件的发展趋势和我国的实际情况,坚持立足国内、面向世界的原则,把实验室建成国内一流、在国际上有影响的半导体材料与器件研究的中心、培养高层次优秀青年人才的基地和开展高水平学术交流的平台、开展高水平学术交流平台、以及开发新材料和新器件的基地。
Key Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials Science (KLSMS), which belongs to Chinese Academy of Sciences, was founded in 1990. KLSMS focuses on advanced materials, nanostructures, quantum devices, and their applications. The research scope of KLSMS covers a broad variety of materials: ultra-thin heterostructure materials, quantum dot (or wire) materials, quantum cascade structures, organic-inorganic hybrid nanostructures, photovoltaic materials, special functional films and materials grown under microgravity conditions.
The laboratory is well-equipped with many advanced material growth systems and characterization equipments, such as molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD), magneto-sputtering system (MSS), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIS), photoluminescence system (PL), Hall effect measurement system (Hall), deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS), electro-chemical C-V measurement system (ECV), reflectance difference spectroscopy (RDS).
KLSMS is opening to research institutions and universities all over the world. All scientists are welcome to take part in the joint-research projects.
